| Automotive Mechanic Perform all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards. Maintains and follows standards and procedures set by local management and National Car Rental (Canada) Inc. in the following areas. • Perform all duties of a Mechanic by maintaining and following standards and procedures set by the Company. • Ensure that all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines. • Perform infleet servicing on new vehicles and on buyback vehicles according to procedures as required. • Neatly, precisely, and accurately complete all forms and documents required. • Maintains a professional relationship with colleagues. • Positively represent the Company to all vendors and the general public. • Ensures the security of company assets. • Keeps work area clean and orderly. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Immediately reports any unsafe or hazardous conditions to the lead agent and/or manager. • Management reserves the right to alter, add, change or delete job responsibilities. • All other duties as directed by Management. Performance Measures: • Customer Service Standard • Maintain the Out-Of-Service percentage at or below company standard • Productivity Reports Job Requirements: • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent. • Provincial Licensed Automotive Technician Certificate (Class “A”, Gold Seal, or Red Seal accreditation). • Requires ownership of necessary hand tools. • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a minimum of three years of driving experience. • Ability to operate an automobile and shop equipment in a safe manner. • Significant knowledge of automobile and light truck parts mechanical service and repair procedures. • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with minimal direction and demanding and changing deadlines. • Basic experience with Microsoft Office and its associated programs. • Must have good written and verbal communication skills. • Must be able to understand, read and write English. • Must comply with all security and safety guidelines. • Comply with all uniform and appearance requirements. Physical Requirements: • Requires ability to perform manual labor (i.e., bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, lifting, standing, walking, etc.) for extended periods of time. • Requires both inside and outside work, with possible extreme heat or cold temperature conditions. • Requires the ability to lift 25 kilograms.
