| Materials Manager - Supply Management Halifax 27jm1002 Position Title: Materials Manager – Supply Management Getting your career on the road begins with the leading manufacturer of heavy-duty buses in North America. Be a part of an industry-leading team that has been bringing innovative products to the marketplace for over 80 years. This key management role is responsible for the leadership and material flow of our Winnipeg production facility. This includes the ability to assist in the development, communication and deployment of procurement policies, guidelines, tools and to drive continuous improvement in the supply base. Complete understanding of Lean and 5S is a requirement and APICS certification is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a four-year College or university degree/certificate; or equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of four years of manufacturing exposures. We are seeking above average interpersonal / communication skills enabling you to work effectively with all levels of the organization. The successful candidate should be well-organized individual, have the ability to prioritize, multi task, and meet tight time lines, combined with strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities. Knowledge of MS Office, with exceptional Excel skills required. Manufacturing and Oracle applications experience are considered an asset.
